A Firm Foundation

If the 4 Gospels all cover the same time period, why do we need 4? Each of the 4 "synoptic" Gospels approach the ministry of Jesus from a different perspective and as we will see, the emphasis in each is a little different, giving us a broader understanding. In Matthew, we will see the emphasis is on trying to get the Jewish people to understand who Jesus is and how He can change the World. Matthew approaches the account of Jesus' ministry in a very orderly and almost business-like manner, explaining why this radical preacher was the Messiah and not the warrior they expected.
